At the same time, the company formulates plans from green operation to emission management, from environmental protection training to industry exchange, and ensures that the plan is evaluated and updated at least once a year.
Developing Eco-Friendly Routes
As a ship owner company, we comprehensively consider shipping safety, freight, port, technology and other factors when planning the route, pay attention to the potential impact on biodiversity, and fully consider whether there are areas with special geographical conditions, ecosystems, biological and abiotic and special needs for the opening and utilization of the sea (i.e. PSSA particularly sensitive areas) in the route. We identify the environmental factors that may cause adverse effects in the process of shipping, including oil sewage, navigation noise, biological dirt, etc. produced by ship ballast water operation, tank washing and other links, and carry out targeted special management through the development of systems such as “The Control of Ship Environmental Factors”, “Ballast Water Management Plan”, “Tanker Ballast Water Operation”, and “Regulations on the Management of Ship Oil Sewage Treatment”. The emission target of hazardous waste is to reduce by 3% every year, and the total carbon emission has been reduced by about 1.4 million tons in the past six years.
