Recently, carrier Kunlun, the third new carrier under the COSCO SHIPPING PetroChina International LNG Transportation Project, successfully completed its maiden voyage from Zeebrugge, Belgium to the port of Sagunto, Spain with a full load of 170,000 cubic meters of LNG and discharged from the port on May 16, once again demonstrated the efficient and quality services of COSCO SHIPPING LNG global fleet.
All-round implementation of carrier takeover arrangement plan
Carrier Kunlun is the third carrier of the project taken over by Hong Kong Ship Management Company, a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING LNG in Shanghai. On the basis of successful operation of taking over carriers of Shaolin and Wudang, the Hong Kong ship management team patiently and meticulously scheduled the carrier takeover arrangement plan, optimized the procedures and improved the selection process of crew members for the carrier. On the eve of the takeover, a special summing-up meeting was held to make targeted deployment and remedy for the shortcomings in the previous work of taking over the vessels and refine the initiatives, especially to strengthen the quality of the initial material supply and the implementation of the system, so as to ensure that seaworthiness of the new carrier delivered and successfully complete the task of carrier taking over in all aspects.
Ensure cargo quality throughout the whole process
During the operation of carrier Kunlun, Hong Kong Vessel Management Company, COSCO SHIPPING LNG maintains close communication with charterers and the carrier. In addition to daily communications, Hong Kong Vessel Management Company closely coordinates with vessels to strictly implement various transfer orders to ensure compatibility between the carrier and shore at various loading and unloading ports during the carrier's voyage. Alongside that, the Hong Kong Vessel Management Company monitors the condition of the carrier and its equipment in the whole process, and closely coordinates in terms of the carrier in and out of ports, and the loading and unloading arrangements to ensure that carrier provide safe, efficient and quality cargo services, which has won the praise of charterers and shipowners.
7*24 anti-piracy work
As ships pass through trade routes such as Malacca, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, COSCO SHIPPING LNG Hong Kong vessel management departments have worked closely together to do solid anti-piracy work, optimize the workflow. By coordinating the procurement of insurance for ships sailing in high-risk areas, testing security equipment and arranging international security escorts, the departments continue to solidify excellent working practices, implement 24-hour follow-up services by dedicated personnel and continuously improve the efficiency of the ship-shore piracy prevention and control linkage to ensure the efficiency and safety of ships during high-frequency navigation in high-risk areas.
