To cultivate high-quality LNG crew and innovate the training mode of LNG senior crew, on June 25, the 13th World Sailer' Day, COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, together with Dalian Maritime University and COSCO SHIPPING Crew, held a signing ceremony for the order-based LNG crew class in Dalian, marking the first joint training agreement of LNG crew led by LNG shipowners, maritime colleges, crew companies and LNG ship management companies in China. Zhu Maijin, Director and General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, donated an LNG ship model to Dalian Maritime University and delivered a speech at the signing ceremony. Zhang Fengwei, Deputy Director of Liaoning Maritime Bureau, Sun Yuqing, Secretary of Party Committee of Dalian Maritime University and Hou Liping, Deputy General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Crew attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.

China's first shipowner-led order-based LNG crew training model will promote the establishment of a fixed-point training mechanism for relevant parties in the LNG industry chain and strengthen the reserve of high-quality LNG shipping talents. Through the innovative cooperation mode of "complementing the chain", it will effectively make up for the shortage of senior crew resources for LNG vessels and keep the supply chain of the industry chain stable. Going forward, COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation will work together with all LNG industry chain partners and pool their wisdom to provide personalized and full-business-cycle career development plans for LNG crew members through "empowering the chain" with digital intelligence "stabilizing the chain" with talent training. Thses endeavors will accelerate the training to enhance LNG crew's capabilities across the full business chain, and strive to make China's first order-based LNG crew class a model and benchmark that can be learned from, promoted and replicated, thus building a high-quality LNG crew team that is compatible with world-class enterprises.
