On the morning of July 25, the signing ceremony for two 174,000 m3 vessels for LNG transportation phase III Project of COSCO Shipping and PetroChina International was held in Shanghai. Ren Yongqiang, Chairman of the Board and Secretary of the Party Committee of COSCO SHIPPING Energy, Mr. Wu Junli, Executive Director and Secretary of the Party Committee of PetroChina International, and Chen Jianliang, Chairman and Party Secretary of Hudong Zhonghua attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.
The LNG Project of COSCO Shipping and PetroChina International is jointly built by COSCO Shipping, PetroChina and CSSC (China Stage Shipbuilding to further promote the synergistic development of the upstream and downstream industrial chain by constructing a stable operation mode binding ship and cargo and deepening the development mode of shipbuilding localization. Three 174,000 m3 vessels of the first phase of the project, namely, Shaolin, Wu Dang and Kunlun, have been successfully put into operation, and three vessels of the second phase of the project are under construction. The official signing of the third phase LNG project, with orders for two174,000-m3 LNG vessels, will drive the deep cooperation in the upstream and downstream of the LNG trading, transportation and equipment manufacturing industry chain.
Relevant leaders of COSCO SHIPPING Energy, PetroChina International, Hudong Zhonghua and guests were present to witness the signing of the shipbuilding contract and chartering contract of the project.
