Successful Arrival of KUNLUN With First Batch of Cargo Under Long-Term LNG Contract Helps Ensure Energy Supply in Winter

On the afternoon of December 4, KUNLUN, a LNG carrier under the PetroChina International LNG Transportation Project, carrying the first batch of FOB cargo under the Cheniere Energy long-term LNG contract, successfully arrived at the Tangshan LNG Receiving Terminal in Hebei. Wang Haiyan, Deputy General Manager of PetroChina International, Wu Yi, Deputy General Manager of PetroChina Natural Gas Sales Branch Company, Jia Ying, Chief Executive Officer of Cheniere Energy China, Yuan Jian, Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Energy, were present at the arrival ceremony. They also conducted an onboard inspection and extended their congratulations to the vessel's crew.

 

KUNLUN is the third sister ship of PetroChina International LNG Transportation Project. On this journey, KUNLUN safely transported 170,000 cubic meters of LNG across a distance of 16,300 nautical miles. It departed from a loading port in the United States and successfully arrived in Tangshan, Hebei Province. This voyage plays a vital role in ensuring a stable gas supply during the winter months. Since the commencement of operations for the three vessels in PetroChina International LNG Transportation Project, they have successfully, efficiently transported over one million tonnes of LNG cargo.
