After the 2026 Spring Festival, COSCO SHIPPING Energy’s “Yuanhai Jincheng” project successfully completed its first end-to-end logistics assignment following the holiday, delivering strong results in both crude-oil supply assurance and container shipping. Before the Spring Festival, the project team engaged core customers in advance, finalized dedicated transportation plans for the holiday and post-holiday resumption of work, coordinated capacity across the entire logistics chain and optimized operating links ahead of time, ensuring uninterrupted supply during the holiday and efficient transportation after operations resumed.
Digital Closed Loop: One-Click Response with End-to-End Transparency and Traceability
Leveraging shipping big data, AI multimodal recognition and blockchain technology, the “Yuanhai Jincheng” platform responded instantly to customers’ Spring Festival supply-assurance needs. With a single request, it handled both crude-oil supply and container-shipping requirements, coordinated dispatch across business segments and achieved end-to-end digital closed-loop management.
On the crude oil front, capacity was precisely matched to Voyage 671 of the MV "JIN NIU ZUO", with real-time route planning and vessel tracking updates pushed to stakeholders, ensuring full-process visibility and traceability. On the container front, the "one container, one bill" online booking was completed through the DTS system. The team coordinated temporary mainline berthing at Panjin Port, opened dedicated storage yards in advance, and secured trucking resources—helping factories avoid container demurrage fees and inventory pressure. By late February 2026, all domestic crude oil transportation demand handled by the platform had been efficiently matched, with more than 20 voyages completed and total volume exceeding 1.2 million metric tons. Domestic container shipments increased significantly year on year, while transportation of specific chemicals achieved a major breakthrough.
Crude Oil Supply Assurance: Precise Dispatching Delivers More than 50,000 Tonnes Efficiently
Facing both tight berth availability and heavy supply-assurance tasks after the Spring Festival, the company’s operations management team used scientific resource coordination and precise dispatching to help Voyage 671 of the MV "JIN NIU ZUO" achieve its tough targets of "uninterrupted supply, zero delays, high efficiency, and zero demurrage". After the vessel berthed at Area 2 of Dalian New Port on February 17, the team implemented a coordinated plan in advance, enabling seamless transitions from pilotage and tank inspection to loading. A total of 54,738 metric tons of crude oil was loaded safely and orderly in less than 24 hours. During the voyage, the dispatching team used intelligent algorithms to dynamically optimize the route and avoid navigation risks, ensuring a direct passage at full speed. After berthing at Panjin Port on February 23, the crew operated efficiently under strict safety standards and completed discharge by the following evening. The operation not only reduced the customer’s operating costs through exceptionally efficient loading and discharge, but also demonstrated the company’s industry-leading crude oil supply capabilities and professional service standards under complex conditions.
Container Distribution: Dedicated Direct Service to Ensure Timely Resumption of Operations
In response to Liaoning Haihang’s urgent post-Spring Festival logistics needs as production resumed, Pan-Asia Shipping responded swiftly and ensured timely supply-chain operations through customized routes and optimized logistics nodes. Building on the existing IC40 trunk line (Yingkou–Ningbo), the project team introduced a temporary call at Panjin Port, opening a dedicated direct route that significantly shortened the overall voyage. Under this model, MV “TIAN XING HE”, Voyage 262S, efficiently completed the first shipment of plastic pellets under DR-DR terms, carrying eight 40HQ containers for Liaoning Haihang in a single consignment and bringing the vessel’s total outbound volume from Liaoning to 468 FEUs (936 TEUs). Throughout the project cycle, the philosophy of "front-end planning, dynamic control, and end-stage acceleration" was fully implemented: pre-production coordination established optimal flow plans to ensure seamless stuffing; mid-voyage daily status updates delivered full-process visibility; and pre-arrival coordination of release procedures guaranteed cargo could be "picked up immediately upon berthing".
This success in both crude-oil and container transportation vividly demonstrates the “Yuanhai Jincheng” platform’s end-to-end service capabilities. The platform not only breaks down barriers between traditional logistics segments, achieving seamless coordination among domestic crude oil, container, and chemical transport, but also, leveraging full-process visualization technology, transforms previously fragmented capacity resources into a "stabilizer" and "accelerator" within customers' supply chains, effectively driving significant year-on-year growth in domestic container shipment volume and key breakthroughs in the transport of specific chemicals.
With favorable winds over a long journey, we set out again to shoulder weighty responsibilities. In 2026, “Yuanhai Jincheng” will continue to deepen scenario-based applications of AI algorithms and blockchain technology, expand its service boundaries through more precise intelligent dispatching, a more transparent digital ecosystem and more cost-effective one-stop solutions. We will continue to fulfill the responsibilities of a centrally administered state-owned enterprise, work hand in hand with our partners and jointly write a new chapter in smart logistics on the journey toward high-quality development.
