COSCO SHIPPING LNG Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“CSLNG”), formerly China Shipping Group Gas Investment Co., Ltd., is a fully owned subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd., specializing in LNG transportation project investment, ship building and management. CSLNG was founded on 9 March 2005 and commenced operations starting 18 April 2005, currently with registered capital of RMB 1764 million. With primary focus in LNG and alternative energy shipping project investment, management and consulting services, CSLNG jointly owns 17 operating LNG carriers of above 170 thousand cubic meters and 3 in orderbook as of the end of August 2021.
In June 2019, CSLNG obtained the UKAS 001 QHSE certificate issued by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited, which aligns with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and ISO 9001. In pursuit of being a world leading LNG shipping service provider, CSLNG continues to upgrade its QHSE management system and enhance the life-cycle management of shipping projects.

The financial professionals have rich experience in financing the Company’s LNG shipping projects. The financial team obtains support from an extensive network of financial institutions.
The operations management team oversees the performance of operating fleet, seeks to improve overall operational efficiency, and serves the functions of risk management, procurement and administrations.
CSLNG houses two wholly owned ship management companies in Hong Kong and mainland China respectively, and controls China Energy Ship Management Co., Ltd. (CESM). The ship management team leverages the resources of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited to establish the world-class seafarer team for LNG vessels.
